These Lunar photos were taken by French Astronomers Maurie Loewy and Pierre Puiseux in 1896. These archival moon photogravures were originally published in their infamous 1910 Atlas Photographique de la Lune.

We have placed particular emphasis on preserving the integrity of the original moon photos as best as possible and believe we have captured the depth and sharpness in equal measure.

Please bear in mind, the fullest moon image (top row, the first image on the left), is shaded slightly brighter and lighter, this is because it is putting off the most light when it was captured compared to the other moons.
