About Foundry

Foundry began in the Bay Area as a small, family-run studio devoted to graphic art, historic imagery, and considered design. Over time, a personal collection assembled while living overseas became a broader source of inspiration, encompassing antique maps, natural-history studies, typographic specimens, architectural drawings, and other remarkable works of printed culture. Now based in Houston, Texas, Foundry serves private individuals, design professionals, and hospitality clients on their projects throughout the United States and around the world.

The studio grew from an enduring appreciation for the details that give visual work its character: the ornament of an old French document, the balance of a beautifully composed map, the restraint of well-paired typography, or the hand of an artist whose work has quietly endured across generations. Foundry was created to bring these works into contemporary interiors with clarity, relevance, and respect for their original qualities.

Our collection is shaped by careful selection rather than volume. Each piece is chosen for its composition, craftsmanship, historical interest, and ability to live comfortably within both traditional and modern spaces. Where appropriate, works are thoughtfully restored and prepared for print, with close attention to color, proportion, detail, borders, and overall presentation.
