Framed Art - About
Why Choose Wooden Frames?
Wooden frames exude a timeless elegance, making them the perfect complement to fine art and the spaces they inhabit. Their natural warmth and character bring depth to any room, while their unique grain and texture make each piece truly special. Our curated selection includes Gallery Light Walnut, Gallery Walnut, Black Label, and Natural frames, all showcasing the individuality and beauty of real wood.
Will the Wood Grain Be Consistent Across Frames?
No two wooden frames are exactly alike. The distinct characteristics of natural wood, such as variations in grain, texture, and tone, ensure that each frame is a unique expression of craftsmanship. This organic individuality adds to the charm of every frame.
Understanding Wood Grain, Texture, and Color
Before making your selection, we encourage you to preview the details of our wooden mouldings. Close-up images of each style are available, but for the most accurate representation, we recommend purchasing one of our small physical samples. Please note that variations in wood grain, texture, and color are inherent to natural materials and may differ slightly from what is displayed on screens or from batch to batch.
Why do you use acrylic instead of glass?
In short, it's the industry standard. UV-filtering acrylic is preferred among art sellers and galleries as it's lighter than glass, scratch-resistant, and shatter-resistant. It also provides more UV protection and has less glare than glass. The acrylic we recommend is our Non-glare UV filtering acrylic which filters up to 99% of UV rays and reduces glare using a soft focus that can give a cloudy appearance.
What type of hanging hardware comes with my framed art?
Heirloom Collection frames will have French cleats which are sturdy, simple, and clean. The French cleat hardware perfectly complements the handcrafted brilliance of the Heirloom collection.
Heirloom collection frames will arrive with a pre-assembled wooden strainer, an unattached 45-degree matching wood cleat, and a screw for installation.

Returns and Exchanges
All framed art purchases are final sale, as each piece is custom-made to order. This ensures every frame is a one-of-a-kind creation tailored to your preferences. However, because of this bespoke process, variations in wood grain, hue, or texture do not qualify for returns, exchanges, or reimbursements.
